Welcome to Lone Pine, CA! Home to the Lone Pine Economic Development Corporation.

Inyo County, in which Lone Pine is located, is the second largest county in California and has a population under 18,000 (as of 2008). Only 1.7% of the land in the County is privately owned, the rest being either federal (92%), state (2.4%) or City of Los Angeles (2.4%) land. The lack of affordable housing, jobs and economic opportunities pose an ongoing challenge to its residents.

LPEDC's purpose is to meet the challenges of small, rural communities by seeking resources and partnerships to improve local economies, provide adequate and affordable housing, and provide business and employment opportunites to our residents.
